IMMIGRATION CRISIS AND PUBLIC HEALTH

IMMIGRATION CRISIS AND PUBLIC HEALTH
US original history is to give people an opportunity to live USA in response to physical, sexual violence, oppression and extreme poverty. Overall, 11 million undocumented immigrants live in USA as of 2017. Overall, 2.5 million undocumented immigrants were deported in 8 years of Obama administration and 2 million have been deported in Trump administration as of now (less than 2 years).

Current deportation fear makes communities less healthy, because of multiple reasons such as fear to go out, fear to use basic healthcare resources. This leads to poor health among children, poor educational attainment and increased mental illnesses.
