OVERCROWDED PRISONS AND COVID
Prison overcrowding has been a topic for decades. Prisons are not designed for social distancing. Marion prison in Ohio is overcrowded. Designed for 1500 people, currently hosting 2000. Over 30% more than the max. capacity. Ohio’s prison system was designed to hold about 35,000 inmates but currently holds 49,000. Overcrowding is a way of life inside.
