UNFORTUNATE AND SAD ANTI-VACCINATION MOVEMENT
Anti-vaccination movement is a consequence of social media humming with rumors and trafficking of misinformation. To some extent, because of hatred towards big pharmaceutical companies due to high healthcare cost, and lastly individual personal freedom of choice that has led to traffic wrong messages (sometimes, by celebrities). Recently there is a spike in anti-science rhetoric. The truth has become more of a perceptive opinion than a fact well verified.

Seven states in USA have reported decreased vaccination rate (MMR). Because of extremely rare possible correlation of Autism associated with vaccination for Measles, some parents have taken drastic steps. Sadly, most of these parents have never seen epidemic of measles, mumps or rubella because success of vaccination that has nearly eliminated these diseases. Success of preventive measures are hard to measure and harder to understand.

According to Dr. Buttnehiem, Prof. at UPenn, "we pay more attention to numerators such as some rare adverse effects, than we do to denominators, how many lives saved per million vaccines"
