HOW SKIN COLOR INFLUENCES MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS

HOW SKIN COLOR INFLUENCES MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS
Images in medical literature or in the slides of medical seminars failed to represent the true findings among people of color. Some of the medical learning materials are still flawed. Classic "Bull eye" finding of Lyme disease is representative from a light skin or white race finding. Even, medical mannequins are white. These images indicate there is an urgent need how we train future medical doctors and nurses understand health disparities exist in our medical education system.
