According to CDC, suicide rates have increased 25% since 1999.

This is the human cost of not addressing mental illnesses (currently over 10 million people with mental illness without care. Suicidal crisis is a public health crisis although it is hard to measure because relationship between suicidal thoughts and suicide rates is widely debated and there a scattered approach until physical conditions such as diabetes or HIV or prostate/breast cancer.
