In 2019, India’s pandemic preparedness and capacity rating was 57th out of 195 countries. It scored much lower than Indonesia and Thailand.
Even though, India scored well with communication, it scored poorly in zoonatic disease prevention, emergency preparedness and capacity of healthcare. These issues relate to the policy issues.
